I promised I'd display a Kaffe Fassett coat that I knitted a few years ago. This was my introduction to Intarsia work, I never thought that it should be difficult, just a lot of work. This was also my introduction to Kaffe Fassett, I'd never heard of him before. I just knew that I loved the look of his patterns. I only wear this coat when it is really cold. I still need to get the right fabric and line the coat, I am just not sure what colour I will use, yet. I'm also not sure of what fabric to use. Maybe I'll just take the coat into the sewing shop, and ask them.

Kaffe has his own line of fabrics as well. Perhaps you can do an online search for them and find one that would go with it.
Wow! some coat! You are a brave woman! Where do you live? and who is this Kaffe person? does it have on line pictures of it's stuff? i think i would love it to. how long did it take you to knit that? if you like this have you seen the designs on http://www.woollythoughts.com/index.html site? i think they are worth doing jsut becasue they are interesting. great coat! what a lot of work! knitwit Valerie
